Guess What? You're Gonna Die!!!!

The common destiny of all men, women and child on the face of the earth is death. No matter your race, creed, religion, or sexuality, you're gonna die!

When you're young, you think you have forever to live.  When you become middle-aged, if you have the chance, you start to see all of the older people in your life passing away. You see the nursing homes full to capacity with people waiting and begging to die.

Why do I speak of this morbid subject? I say to all the atheists and new age religion people that there is a God. God created you and you will return to him. If you can answer one question for me, you will prove to yourself that God exists and that He created you.

If there is no God, why did He make everything in a circle?
Everything from the smallest microscopic molecule to the largest star that the Voyager has sent pictures of, from deep space, is round. Anything God made is round. If you can show me anything that is natural, and not rounded, then you can prove to me that God does not exist.

Now as you try to prove to me that there are natural things that are not round and realize that there aren't any, then you will understand and start to contemplate you mortality. What goes around comes back around again. What has been will be again. Look at the world around you. You can see the past, and the present but you can never tell the future.

There's no guarantee that you'll live to old age. If you don't believe in God, prove that  He doesn't exist. Answer the question, because guess what? You're gonna die!!!!!!! Then it will be too late to believe.

  1. I moved back to my hometown to retire. And you're right, Russell, the people I used to know are all either dead or dying. Indisputable fact of life. And I see them clinging to their God in what seems to be utter desperation. It would seem to me that were one to be a true believer, there would be no need for desperation. Surely, there must be a God. But I scoff at the atheists who try to disprove the existence of God since it is nearly impossible to prove a negative. My only argument would be that the very essence of God for each of us might be interpreted differently. And, suffice it to say, we are all guided in our thinking by the way in which we are brought up.
I was brought up in a traditional Christian/Lutheran surrounding, my mother being a staunch church-goer, and my father having been a somewhat confused agnostic. I attended Luther College with what turned out to be a short lived desire to be a minister. And, thus, I was indoctrinated with Lutheran teachings and views, only to find out later in life that there a thousands of interpretations of the concept of God. That he exists, I cannot dispute since I talk to God every day, and every day he talks to me. However, I have to ask the question. Is my God responsible for the roundness of objects? Or is it a simple fact of life brought to us naturally? Why does the existence of round objects require a God? If there were no God would it mean that there would be no more round objects? Proving that would almost be like trying to prove that there isn't a God.

  2. Hi Phil. I can tell by your comment that you are a very intelligent man. I can also tell that you have a very close relationship with God. I believe everything you said in regards to people's thinking being guided by the way they were brought up. However, people have something that God has granted us which is called Free Will. I believe that if you raise children without mentioning God, religion or traditions they will grow up without those influences but there will still be good and bad amongst them.

I've come from literal trash, when it comes to parents and grandparents. I was raised by my great grandmother. I went to Catholic school for seven years and never saw a Bible. My great grandmother was not a religious woman but she made a point to introduce me to God.

I'm not a Catholic now but going to Catholic school introduced me to God. It is my desire within to be closer to God.

When I speak of roundness and round things, referencing God, and you hit it right on the button when you asked "Is it a simple fact of life brought to us naturally?" I mean anything natural is of God. Every living, breathing creature on this planet has round dimensions, especially human beings. It is written: God made man in his image.

As far as the questions at the end of your comment about God and round objects, let me put it simply, without God there is nothing.
