Unions? Yes!!!

I have had the privilege and experience of working for the government, private industries and non-profits. In all of these employment entities, if they could, they would f*ck you over. If they didn't have to pay you time and a half for working over forty hours, they wouldn't. If they didn't have to limit the amount of hours you work, they would have you working until you dropped dead.

It's true, that over the years, unions have become political and corrupted. However, the basic ideology and foundation of a union still stands firm. Unions provide a voice to the working poor. History has proven that when industry, government and non-profits are left to their own devices, they abuse the working class. Just watch the documentary on the History Channel called "The Men Who Built America" where it chronicled the murderous abuses to the common working man by the Rockefellers, the Carnegies, the J.P. Morgan's, the Vanderbilt's, the Fords, and the Rothschild's.

The men would hire thugs to beat their workers with clubs to force them to work in inhuman conditions so that they could build their bank accounts. When even the thought of people coming together to demand a decent living wage and decent working conditions, they were often met with death.

The union allows poor, working class people strength in numbers. Do they need some improvement? Yes, they do, but truth be told, people who don't have unions say that it's not needed. The people that belong to a union say "I'm on my break! Stop harassing me before I put in a grievance on you!

It's true that the union is responsible for letting a lot of scum bags keep their jobs but they also have helped a lot of people earn decent wages, get decent health coverage and have job security. Unions? Yes!!! Are you in the Union?
