The pyramid scheme. I don't understand how people can fall for it. Any time you think you're going to get something for nothing, you gonna get nothing. Some people in the ghetto like to go for that get rich quick scheme, thinking that they know something a million people that lived before them don't know.
I remember when Denise's friend first introduced her to this pyramid scheme. I was only twenty at the time, but I knew it was bullshit. A sure indication that it was bullshit was that a fight broke out at one of the meetings over some money. Don't get me wrong, normal, everyday hard working people, fall for pyramid schemes all the time. But it's worse when it's a bunch of ghetto fabulous people thinking they're going to get rich and leave everyone behind. They might not start the pyramid scheme but when they find out, they try to keep it going. Then when it's time for you to collect your money, you basically get a "Fuck you! What you going to do about it?"
