I Longed To Be Like Jesus

I wanted new friends, and ever since I read the Bible in that room, I longed to be like Jesus.

As long as I could remember, the picture of Jesus has always been a white man with blond hair and blue eyes.  It wasn't until I saw Good Times, where there was an episode of J.J. painting a black Jesus, that I actually contemplated that Jesus could be black.  As I became older, I would hear all of the propaganda about Jesus being a black man and the White man being the blue-eyed Devil.  They would force the image of white Jesus on the slaves. I've heard all of that shit.

I've seen television programming and cinema try to depict Jesus as a long haired, weak and timid man.  All of these depictions and arguments are meritless and formed from the seed of Satan to distract you from the real Jesus.  So many people, from the top down will argue what Jesus looks like, but yet, won't dare act like him.

The truth is, who cares what color he was?  He was strong, smart, miraculous and a moral compass.  He spoke the truth.  He stood up to injustice.  He loved all people, good and bad.  He was killed for his innocence.  He was the Son of God.  Don't let anyone else tell you different.

Stop fighting over the bullshit and find out the truth.  The truth will set you free.  Then you'll long to be like Jesus too.  The real Jesus.  Not Satan's interpretation of Jesus.

It's about Jesus's heart, not his appearance.  Satan would have you believe there are so many commandments that it's hard to follow Jesus.  But Jesus said there were only two:  Love God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength and Love your brother as you would love yourself. Jesus is the way, the truth and the light.

Who are you going to believe?
